Caleb is a playful and talkative 3-year-old boy from Kenya. He is an only child, and his mother works as a casual laborer at a local hotel. Currently, due to his clubfoot, Caleb cannot stand without assistance. He can roll over, but cannot yet walk or crawl.
Caleb has clubfoot in both feet, a condition in which the foot is twisted out of shape. This can cause difficulty walking and even wearing shoes.
Fortunately, Caleb traveled to visit our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, for treatment. There, surgeons will perform clubfoot repair surgery on March 14th. African Mission Healthcare Foundation is requesting $1,286 to fund Caleb’s clubfoot repair. After treatment, he will be able to stand, walk and continue playing with other children.
“I am appealing to people of goodwill to help my son undergo surgery to gain strength and walk on his feet,” Caleb’s mother said.

Caleb underwent life-changing treatment.
Caleb was admitted to the hospital and underwent successful corrective surgery. This care will be of significant impact to him as he will be able to stand, walk and continue with a full life like other children.
Caleb’s mother shared: “Having been born with severe asphyxia, Caleb was not able to sit, with the right side of his body being weak; I was distraught he might not have the proper life I had intended for him to have. When I came to Cure hospital, all that changed when I met the doctors and they told me that there was hope for my son to walk and sit properly. This has always been my dream to have my son lead a good life and go to school. Thanks to the whole Cure fraternity. I can say God is alive and he works in different ways and different people. I am very grateful to the hospital and all the donors involved in my son’s healing.”
