Thy is a 26-year-old factory worker in Phnom Penh. Thy is single and lives with her parents and her two younger sisters. Thy's parents are farmers and her sisters work in offices. In her free time, Thy likes to read books. Two months ago, Thy developed a mass on her left breast that has grown quickly. Although it is painless, the mass worries her. Thy traveled to our medical partner's care center to receive treatment. On January 13th surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre (CSC), will remove the mass. CSC is helping Thy fundraise $273 to fund this procedure. Thy shared, "I hope the doctors can remove this and I won't have any more problems."

Ravoeun is a 22-year-old construction worker from Cambodia. He resides in Svay Reng province with his wife and his mother. His mother works as a housekeeper, while his wife is employed at a hair salon in their village. In July 2019, Ravoeun was in a motor vehicle accident and fractured his right tibia. He went to a local hospital, where physicians implanted hardware to stabilize the fractured bone. Now that the bone has healed completely, Ravoeun wants to have the hardware removed from his leg. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, can help. On May 9th, Ravoeun will undergo a hardware removal procedure at Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre, which will cost $304. Once he has recovered from the surgery, Ravoeun will be able to continue with his construction work without experiencing the discomfort caused by the hardware in his leg. Ravoeun said: "I hope that the hardware will be easily removed, and the ache in my leg will be gone."

Som is a 68-year-old retired rice farmer from Kompong Cham. She has two sons, five daughters, and fifteen grandchildren. Sadly, ten years ago, her husband passed away from a heart attack. Since then, she has retired and lives with one of her sons who took over the rice farm. Her hobbies are cooking and visiting the mosque in her village. Around two years ago, Som developed a cataract in her left eye, causing her tearing and blurry vision. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, including colors and faces, and is worried about falling when walking, thus is unable to travel on her own. When Som learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, she traveled for four and a half hours seeking treatment. On March 6th, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and place an intraocular lens implant in her left eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $253 procedure. She said, "I want to be able to see again because I feel very afraid when I go out."
