Austin is seven years old and a pupil in pre-primary two in Kenya. His father sells household items in Mwiki, while his mother is a homemaker. Austin also has one sibling. Austin has suffered from developmental delays in his growth and ability to speak. He also suffers from a heart condition, for which he is receiving treatment. Additionally, Austin has been diagnosed with significant hearing loss in both of his ears. As a result, his father reports that Austin performs poorly in school and has difficulty pronouncing words. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, wants to help Austin procure hearing aids. After being evaluated, Austin will receive his hearing aids- which will cost $1,171- on March 21st, at AIC Kijabe Hospital. Austin and his family need your help to raise the necessary funds. Austin's father says: “Austin is struggling to study in school. He is unable to pronounce words and do sums in class.”

Mao, who is 48 years old, lives with her husband, son, and daughter in Cambodia. Mao's husband works as a rice farmer; her son is a monk, and Mao and her daughter work in a nearby food factory. About ten years ago, Mao noticed a small mass on her lower back. In the last two months, it has grown in size and occasionally bleeds. She experiences some discomfort and is fearful that the mass will continue to grow. Mao sought help from our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre. On April 26th, surgeons at Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre will remove the mass. Now, Mao needs your help to raise $273 to fund this procedure. After surgery, Mao hopes that she will feel more comfortable and be able to get back to her family quickly.

Mercy is a two-month-old baby who is the only child of two loving parents. Mercy's mother stays at home with her, while her father is a small-scale farmer and cattle breeder. Mercy has clubfoot on her left foot. Clubfoot is a condition in which the foot is twisted out of shape, which causes difficulty walking and even wearing shoes. Fortunately, Mercy traveled to visit our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, where surgeons will perform her clubfoot repair surgery on March 17th. Now African Mission Healthcare Foundation is requesting $935 to fund Mercy's clubfoot repair. After treatment, she will be able to walk easily and live a life free from mobility constraints. Mercy’s mother says, “I hope that our daughter’s future will not be affected by the condition she is born with.”
